Ornos Beach
Ornos beach is a great family friendly beach in Mykonos. It is a resort area with a wide array of, bars and restaurants. It is in a close proximity to the center point of the island called Myknos Town, just a 10-minute drive. The beach does have some bars but it is far from the same beat pumping party vibe of Paradise and Super Paradise beaches.
Ornos beach also has water sports facilities. It is a sandy beach. The water is quite calm. It is a great swimming spot for the kiddies because the sand dips into a shallow slope.
Platis Gialos
Platis Gialos is another fantastic kid-friendly beach area. Platis Gialos is close to Myknos Town, just a 10-minute drive away. There are lots of great tavernas and cafes to choose from to relax and have a great meal with your family.
The sand at Platis Gialos is a golden brown, and the waters are turquoise. Also a plus, you can take a shuttle boat service to other south coast beaches. There is also a shuttle service to the island of Delos, which is a fantastic archaeological site older children would appreciate.
Agios Stefanos
Agios Stefanos is another one of our top family friendly beaches. It is very close to Mykonos Town and offers some of the best sunset views on the island. There are tavernas and eateries in close proximity to the beach as well.
Agios Stefanos is named after a lovely little whitewashed church on its coastline. It is famous for its sandy beach and shallow waters that are perfect for the little ones to play in.
Other family friendly beaches in Mykonos include:
Kalafati, Agios Ioannis and Kalo Livadi. Each one has umbrellas, sun loungers available for rent ant there is at least one restaurant or Greek taverna nearby.
